Chambers Date: November 9, 1998 Re: E.5920 9th IGd City Day Care Spokane Regional Health District Environmental Health Received water use figures for period Dec 15, 1997 through Sep 17, 1998 48 units of water (one unit = 748 gal) were used from June 16,1998 through Sep 17,1998 Assuming an average of 20 days a month that the facility is open that would equal 598 gallons of water per day. The facility has been trying to reduce its water use for the last few months: From Aug 17 to Sep 17, 1998 12 units of water were used. 448 gallons per day average: The existing drainfield can handle only 291 gallons of sewage per day. There is very little water used outside the facility for landscaping. There is no room to up grade the existing septic system. Conclusion: This converted single family residence with it's existing septic system can not be approved for it's current use as a day care center.( Based on sewage flow) • Page 1 Post -it` Fax Note 7671 Date / 9 v Hofof P. / To G m^Deis.,l s From / v-7 P.j.,. a.4 Co./Dept Co.
