The original Agreement states that it was for three years,with three optional one-year terms possible if the parties mutually agree to exercise the options each year. This is the first of three possible option years that can be exercised and runs through December 31, 2021. The City would like to exercise the 2021 option year of the Agreement. The Compensation as outlined in Exhibit A, 2021 to the Agreement, includes the labor and material cost negotiated and shall not exceed$120,658.31. The history of the annual renewals,including dollar amounts, is set forth as follows: Original contract amount $114,558.16 2021 Renewal $120,658.31 All of the other contract provisions contained in the original Agreement shall remain in place and remain unchanged in exercising this option year. If you are in agreement with exercising the 2021 option year, please sign below to acknowledge the receipt and concurrence to perform the 2021 option year. I'm sorry for the delay in getting back. I needed to conduct research on prevailing wage and see if Argus could absorb some of the cost. In my findings,there was another increase in the Washington Prevailing wage rate. The wage went from $14.90 to $15.60 per hour. This is a 4.7% increase. Argus Janitorial realizes this is a substantial increase in wage costs. Therefore, we are willing to absorb 1.2 %of the increase. The new contract amount for 2021 is$120,658.31.
