The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No.20-026 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 15th day of December, 2020:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON
ADOPTING CHAPTER 22.100 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE, AMENDING
SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 17.90.010, 17.110.010, AND 22.10.010 AND
AMENDING THE SPOKANE VALLEY STREET STANDARDS TO ADOPT, IMPLEMENT AND
COLLECT TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEES FOR THE SOUTH BARKER CORRIDOR;
ADOPTING THE SOUTH BARKER CORRIDOR STUDY AND THE SOUTH BARKER CORRIDOR
TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEE RATE STUDY; OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 states the purpose of the Ordinance is to adopt, impose and collect transportation impact fees by
adopting chapter 22.100 SVMC, amending sections 17.90.010, 17.110.010, and 22.10.010 SVMC, chapter
3 of the Spokane Valley Street Standards and adopting the South Barker Corridor Study and South Barker
Corridor Transportation Impact Fee Rate Study; Section 2 sets out certain findings and conclusions; Section
3 adopts Chapter 22.100 Transportation Impact Fees by amendment to Title 22 SVMC as set forth in Exhibit
"A"; Section 4 amends SVMC I7.90.010 as set forth in Table 17.90-1 Decision/Appeal Authority; Section
5 amends SVMC 17.110.010 SVMC Master fee schedule; Section 6 amends SVMC 22.10.010 Purpose;
Section 7 amends Chapter 3 of the Spokane Valley Street Standards as set forth in Exhibit"B"; Section 8
adopts the South Barker Corridor Transportation Impact Fee Rate Study and the South Barker Corridor
Study as set foith in Exhibit"C"and Appendix"B"to Exhibit"C"; Section 9 states that all other provisions
of the SVMC and Street standards shall remain in full force and effect; Section 10 addresses severability;
and Section 11 provides for an effective date. The full text of Ordinance 20-026 is available at the City of
