LEGAL NOTICE MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News Herald. a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. Hearing Body: The Spokane Valley Plan- ning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the proposed Housing Action Plan and make a recom- mendation to the City Council, Staff Contact: Chaz Bates, AICP, Senior Planner, (509) 720-5337 cbates@spokes nevatley org Environmental Determination: The City issued a Determination of Non -significance on March 12, 2021 pursuant to the State Environmental Policy Act and chapter 21.20 C Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC). .04 Hearing Procedures: The Planning Com- mission will conduct the remote hearing pursuant to the rules of procedure adopted in SVMC Title 18 (Boards and Authorities). The public is encouraged to submit written comments prior to the hearing by sending the comments to Chaz Bates, 10210 E Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99206, or email to nhates-©spokanevatley;or'g. Comments will need to be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on April 8, 2021 for submis- sion into the record. Comments received will be entered into the record at the Public Hearing. If you would like to deliver com- ments to City Hall you may contact City Hall at (509) 720-5000 prior to 4:00 PM on April 8, 2021 to schedule an appointment for delivery. Comments received through US Mail will be included if they are received prior to the hearing. All interested persons may testify at the remote public hearing via the zoom meeting address and/or phone number. Interested persons will need to sign up to speak no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 8, 2021 at the link provided in the agenda. The link above will provide directions to sign up for oral public comments. This is not an opportunity for questions or discussion. Remarks wit be limited to three minutes per person. Written comments and documents may only be sub- mitted prior to the hearing. Any appeal of the Planning Commission's decision will be based on the record established before the Planning Commission, pursuant to SVMC 17.90 (Appeals).
