LEGAL NOTICE MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News Herald, a weekly newspaper. Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509)720-5000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 21-005 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 25th day of May, 2021: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AMENDING TITLE 24 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO BUILDING AND LAND DISTURBING REGULATIONS, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Section 1 states that the purpose of this ordinance is to amend Title 24 SVMC to align the language of that title with the adoption of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fire Code, Uniform Plumbing Code by. Washington State and to implement clarifying language related to permit expiration and land dis N turbance activities. Section 2 states that i the City Council read and considered the 9 Planning Commission's findings, and makes //, their own specific findings and conclusions as noted in section 2 of this ordinance. Sec- tion 3 makes certain stated amendments to SVMC 24.40. Section 4 addresses sever - ability, and Section 5 provides for an effec- tive date.
