Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509)720-5000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL • The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 21-010 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 10th day of August, 2021: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY WASHINGTON AMENDING SECTIONS OF TITLE 19 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO CARGO SHIPPING CONTAINERS, THE ADDITION OF THE R-4 ZONING DISTRICT IN SEC- TIONS RELEVANT TO ALL RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS, AND OTHER MAT- TERS RELATING THERETO. Section 1 states that the purpose of this ordinance is to provide general clarifica- tion amendments to SVMC Title 19; specifically to move regulatory standards for cargo shipping containers from SVMC 19.40.030 to 19.65.130 in order to address cargo containers as a residential accessory structure, and to add the R-4 zoning district throughout Title 19. Section 2 sets out certain findings and conclusions. Section 3 makes certain amendments to SVMC 19.40 as noted; Section 4 amends SVMC 19.65 as noted; Section 5 makes certain amendments to SVMC 19.70 as noted; Section 6 makes certain amendments to SVMC 19.75 as noted; Section 7 makes certain amendments to SVMC 19.80; and Section 8 makes certain amendments to SVMC 19.85. Section 9 states that all other provisions of Title 19 not referenced hereto shall remain unchanged. Section 10 speaks to severability, and Section 11 provides an effective date.
