To Whom It May Concern:
It has come to my attention that our horses may be evicted. We have had horses since we moved
to Spokane, (1997). They have been an important part of my life, my sister's life, and our neighbors and
friends as well. These horses have carried my sister and I through many show rings in the 4-H program,
and countless miles over the surrounding area. Having horses and being involved in the 4-H program has
helped shape who I am today. The horses have been enjoyed by most of the neighbors as well. Going over
to visit, and also doing pony rides for birthdays. My niece is currently learning to ride on Duke, the white
horse currently on the property. Duke came to me from a neglected home several years ago, he has turned
out to be an unbelievable trail horse, and also a great kids horse. Though approaching his 26th birthday,
Duke is still an important part of the family, and we hope to keep him, and the other horses, on the
property.
I was astonished to hear that someone had reported our horse. He is quiet, clean, and does not
bother anyone. All you have to do is give him an apple, and he's your best friend. We have had the horses
here since we moved into this home. In fact, the reason we chose to move to this area was so we could have
horses. No one has approached us or complained in 5 years. All of the sudden the horses are a problem?
Please don't separate our family! We love our horses, and do not want to see them go!
Sincerely,
Stacia L. Gross Strauser

To whom it may concern;
My neighbor had a complaint filed against them because they have horses on their
property. The reason that most of us moved out to this area is so we can have large
animals if we so choose. The neighbor that made the complaint only shares a fence post
with 18809 E. 4th that connects their backyards. When Cindy Strauser first moved the
complaining neighbor brought her corn stalks over to the horses which was
approximately five years ago and didn't seem to mind her having horses at that time. We
don't mind the horses on the property as long as they don't let things build up and start to
smell and attract insects. The horses are not a nuisance. Please take note the woman who
made the complaint is known for doing this on a continuous bases and has filed many
complaints on several of her neighbors without cause and most of the time nothing came
out of those complaints because they were just idle threats so she could get her own way
on how she wants everything in this neighborhood to be.
