DEBI LABISH being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that she is the OFFICE MANAGER of the Spokane Valley
News Herald, a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six
months prior to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly
newspaper in Spokane County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the
aforesaid place of publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the
Superior Court of the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it
was published in regular issues commencing on the 3rd day of September, 2021, and ending on the 10th day of September,

The Planning Commission will hold a public
hearing to receive public comment on the
proposed Code Text Amendment request
and make a recommendation to the City
Council on the following amendment:

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL: AOity-inn-
tiated code text amendment tottle Spokane
Valley Municipal Code (SVMC) to delete
chapter 19,50 SVMC Planned Residential
Developments to prohibit planned residen-
tial developments in residential zones, and
other housekeeping items:
PROPOSAL LOCATION: (Von -protect ao:
lion. The amendment would apply citywide.

East Sprague Avenue, Spokane Valley,
WA 99206
HEARING PROCEDURES: The Planning
Commission will conduct the remote hearing
pursuant to the rules of procedure adopted
in SVMC Title 18 (Boards and Authorities).
The public is encouraged to submit written
comments prior to the hearing by sending

Comments will need to be submitted no later
than 4:00 PM on September 23, 2021 in
order for them to be received and prepared:

All interested persons may testify at the
remote public hearing via the zoom meeting
address and/or phone number, Interested
persons will need to sign up to speak no
later than 4:00 p.m. on September 23, 2021

opportunity for questions or discussion.
Remarks will be limited to three minutes per
person. Written comments and documents
may only be submitted prior to the hearing.
Any appeal of the Planning Commission's
decision will be based on the recordestab-
lished before the Planning Commission,
pursuant to SVMC 17.90 (Appeals). The
Planning Commission will forward a recom-
mendation on the request to the Spokane
Valley City Council.
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION::
Spokane Valley, acting as the Lead Agency;
issued a Determination of Non -significance
(DNS) on September 3, 2021 pursuant to
WAG 197-11-340 (2). The 14-day appeal/
comment period expires on September
17,2021.
STAFF REPORT AND INSPECTION OF
