The following is the title and summary of
Ordinance No. 21-019 passed by the Spo-
kane Valley City Council on the 9th day of
November, 2021:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON DELETING CHAPTER
19.50 PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVEL-
OPMENTS OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY
MUNICIPAL CODE, AMENDING SEC-
TIONS OF TITLE 17, TITLE 18, TITLE 19
AND APPENDIX A OF THE SPOKANE
VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE TO STRIKE
PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
REFERENCES, AND TERMINATING THE
MORATORIUM ON THE SUBMISSION,
ACCEPTANCE, PROCESSING, MODIFI-
CATION, AND APPROVAL OF PLANNED
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS, AND
OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 states that the purpose of this
Ordinance is to delete PRDs as a develop-
ment option under the SVMC by deleting
chapter 19.50 SVMC and the Planned
Residential Development regulations, as
well as all references to PRDs within the
SVMC. Section 2 sets out specific find-
ings and conclusions. Section 3 amends
chapter 19.50 by deleting it in its entirety.
Section 4 amends SVMC 19.40.100 to
remove reference to planned residential
development in zero lot line developments.
Section 5 amends SVMC 19.70.020 by
removing references to planned residential
developments in the residential standards.
Section 6 amends SVMC 17.80.030 by
removing planned residential developments
from the Type III permit type and land use
application. Section 7 amends SVMC
17.80.170 by removing planned residential
development reference under vested rights
for subsequent buildings permits. Section 8
amends 18.20.030 by removing reference
to planned unit developments as a matter
for the hearing examiner to hear. Section 9
amends Appendix Aby removing reference
to planned residential development. Section
10 states that all other provisions of Title 17,
18, 19 and Appendix A of the SVMC not
specifically referenced hereto shall remain
unchanged and in full'force and effect. Sec-
tion 11 terminates the moratorium previously
set. Section 12 speaks to severability, and
Section 13 provides for an effective date.
