Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509) 720-5000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary tit Ordinance No. 22-003 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 1st day of March, 2022: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE NAME OF TITLE 6 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE, ADOPTING CHAPTER 6.10OFTHE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICI- PAL CODE AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF INDIVIDUALS FROM PUBLIC FACILITIES IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, ESTABLISH- ING A PROCESS FOR SUCH REMOVAL, PROVIDING AN APPEAL PROCESS AFTER SUCH REMOVAL; AMENDING CHAPTER 6.05 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SANCTIONS FOR VIOLATING PARK RULES; AND OTHER MATTERS RELAT- ING THERETO. Section 1 states that the purpose of this or- dinance is to adopt criteria and procedures to exclude from City property and facilities, individuals whose behavior is dangerous, illegal, or unreasonably disruptive; and that council adopts the ordinance's recitals as findings in support of this ordinance. Section 2 amends SVMC title 6 by chang- ing its name to City Facilities and Parks. Section 3 adds new section 6.10 Trespass from City Property and Facilities. Section 4 amends the prescribed penalty to Include other sanctions. Section 5 states that all other provisions of Title 6 not specifically referenced hereto shall remain in full force and effect.
