JENNETT MEYER being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that she is
the BOOKKEEPER of the Spokane Valley News Herald, a weekly newspaper.
That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more
than six months prior to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published
in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane County,
Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office
maintained at the aforesaid place of publication of said newspaper, which said
newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior
Court of the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following
is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in regular issues commenc-

CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY
PLANNING COMMISSION OPENINGS
The City of Spokane Valley seeks two
individuals to serve on the City of Spokane
Valley's Planning Commission (Spokane
Valley Municipal Code 18.10). Terms are
for three -years. The purpose of the'Com-
mission is to study and make recommen-
dations to the mayor and city council for
future planned growth through continued
review of the City s comprehensive land use
plan, development regulations, shoreline
management, environmental protection,
public facilities, capital improvements, and
other matters as directed by city council.
Qualifications include having an interest in
planning, land use, transportation, capital
infrastructure and building and landscape
design as evidenced by training, experi-
ence or interest in the City. Members of
the Commission are nominated by the
mayor and confirmed by a majority vote of
at least four members of the city council.
Commissioners shall be selected without
respect to political affiliations and shall serve
without compensation. The appointments
are tentatively scheduled to be made at a
January 2023 Council meeting. Members
must reside within the city limits of Spokane
Valley. The Commission generally meets at
6:00 p.m. on 2nd and 4th Thursdays. Ap-

should be submitted to Spokane Valley
City Clerk Chris Bainbridge, and received
no later than 4:00 p.m., Monday November
14, 2022. The term for these positions will
begin January 2023.
