State ofashington County of Spokane Title: Notary Public My appointment expires 12/22/2025 LELA MACARTHUR Notary Public State of Washington License Number 23008523 My Commission Expires March 16, 2027 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of OrdinanceNo. 23-009 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 9th day 0f May, 2023: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING SECTION 8.20.110 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE • REGULATION OF MASSAGE AND REFLEXOLOGY BUSINESSES, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO. Section 1 states that the purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit individuals or businesses from engaging in unlicensed massage and reflexology services, and to provide additional tools for enforcement. Section 2 adds new SVMC 8.20.110 and adopts by reference various Revised Code of Washington provisions associated with licensors, including definitions and penal- ties for such things as practicing without a license. New SVMC 8.20.110 also provides authorityto law enforcement to inspect the premises of any massage or reflexology business.
