To whom it may concerne,
My name is Barbara Rhoads and I live on E46th Ave. I am very concerned about the
proposed development on the old golf course. My first concern is the water/flood issue. You cant
just fill in the golf course with dirt with out addressing where all the water is going to go with out
impacting other people. Unless you build a cistern under the development I don’t know where the
water is going to go. Second the wear and tear on the roads to deliver all that dirt should not be
placed on the city.
My next concern is the impact on the schools. We just remodeled Chester Elem. And getting
ready to do Horizon Middle, U-high is full and the new High school in Liberty Lake wont be finished
for three years. . so where are you going to put all the new students.
Next the impact on the sewer system, and the environmental impact, the density issue and the
property values. Needless to say there are a
lot of issues to be dealt with before giving to go ahead on this project. I don’t think anything should
be built there. Since it is a flood plane maybe it should be a golf course again or a park/natural area.
