I would suggest that the golf course be restored. Perhaps as a Spokane Valley City course or a County course. The golf course would add to the Citys image as an inviting place to live and raise a family. If the city allows the golf course to become a residential area I encourage you to includesignificant park areas or such open space. From the article in the newspaper, it does not seemthe area will accommodate all the 300 planned single home residences, 280 multi-homeresidences, plus 30 acres for parks and open spaces. My expectation is that the open spaceswill be sacrificed as the project moves ahead. I would also ask that you consider how raising the golf course above the flood plain will affectthe neighborhoods near by, particularly to the East. The water will have to go somewherewhen the flooding does occur. I imagine that it will raise water levels for other developments. I appreciate your taking the time to read my comments.
