Hi,
I live in the Spokane Valley. I am writing to add my voice to those who oppose thedevelopment of the Painted Hills area. This area should be protected for its benefits to local
wildlife, insects and flora.
I do not believe you can dump 330,000 yards of dirt on a natural flood plan and expect it notto flood. Water displaces dirt.
Please purchase this land. Give it to the citizens/constituents as a place to enjoy nature.
I found this quote from former President Theodore Roosevelt:Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources...the
history...the romance, for your children and your children's children. Do not let the selfish menor greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.
Again please protect this area not only for people to enjoy but also as a refuge for natural
habitat.
