I am opposed to burying the flood plain at the site of the Painted Hills Golf Course. Allowing the regulations
regarding the flood plain status there to be circumvented for the sake of development will only embolden developers
to find ways to circumvent other protected areas such as wetlands. Once the City of the Spokane Valley starts caving
into such schemes, precedent will start taking over, and the City will lose its ability to discriminate and properly
direct the growth of development.
