We have lived south of the Painted Hills Golf Course for over 34 years. We've experienced
the spring floods every year and the last 2 have been the worst. I attribute this increase of
water backing up on our property to the 18 acre development that now has 40 houses on it.
Our new neighbor to the east of me filled in a huge swell next to the mountain that used to
collect a great portion of the overflow. I had water running through my main shop down the
lane, my northern most building had water running into it from the east next to the creek.
This flooding lasted for better then 2 weeks for the past 2 years.
Last week we had 2 bald eagles on the golf course! This has been such a peaceful and
beautiful area for our past 34 years, don't destroy this natural habitat.
The fill the developers are proposing will back the spring run off back our way causing a
new flood plain--on our property @ 4901 S. Dishman-Mica! Messing with Mother Nature is
problematic and totally insane! Please reject this ill advised development. We are simply
running our of wetlands.
