Ms. Barlow,I am unable to attend the virtual hearing regarding the Painted Hills Development. I have previously
submitted public comment on this issue, but would like to add comments specifically for the meetingif that’s possible.
I have attached pictures of comments made in the most recent issue of Spokane CDA Living
Magazine. While it references the City of Spokane, it very aptly applies to what the City of SpokaneValley is doing regarding development. Spokane Valley should set itself apart from Spokane, itshould remain a city where people are not stacked on top of one another because a developer wantsto make big money. Developments should be done thoughtfully, designed with lots of open space
and green areas. And they should be built AFTER all the necessary infrastructure is in place (roads,traffic control, schools, sidewalks, etc, etc!).
