Always use caution when openingattachments or clicking links. Dear Ms Barlow, I am writing in concern over the Painted Hills Project. Several of my concerns are as follows: * Our local schools are already at maximum capacity. Several existing schools received overflow students this year which resulted in the creation of additional classrooms. There won'tbe space for the families moving into the proposed community. * The traffic study took place several years ago. Since then, multiple apartments and houses have come into the community, therefore making the study obsolete. In addition, it was donearound a holiday therefore not reflecting a "true" gauge of what the traffic flow is. * This project will compromise the lives of the community in the event of a fire evacuation. There are only two roads out of the Painted Hills Area as well as the Ponderosa Neighborhoodoff of Dishman Mica (Bowdish & Old Schaffer Rd). During the Dishman Hills Fire, we were told to leave but were in total gridlock. Since then, several new homes and apartments havebeen established. Creating this many homes will create a substantial risk to loss of life when the next evacuation happens. * Since the project is currently on a floodplain, there will need to be a significant amount ofconstruction fill coming into the area. There are concerns about the health effects to nearby residence and schools. In addition to potential pollution to our local water. * It was mentioned in the presentation the HOA will be responsible for theoperation/maintence on the proposed management system. HOA's are not a guarantee. What happens if the HOA goes into bankruptcy and the flood management project fails? Who isresponsible then? I am for responsible growth within our community but with careful consideration as to not negatively impact health, quality of life and the environment of our community. Thank you for your time.
