Dear Ms. Barlow,
Our concerns for the proposed development of the Painted Hills development are numerous. We
are especially concerned about these issues:
a. The prospect of evacuating the Painted Hills and surrounding homes as well as the
three schools in case of fire or other disaster on the only two roads of escape:
Dishman Mica and Madison.
b. The number of children attending Chester, Horizon and University High Schools that
are already at or over capacity.
c. The traffic that will make Dishman Mica and Madison impassible. The danger that
the number of vehicle trips will be to the children and youth that attend the three
nearby schools.
d. The amount of water that drains into the land on which the development will be built
as well as the damage to of Chester Creek and the wetlands.
e. The hundreds of trips of heavy trucks carrying tons of fill dirt on surrounding roads.
Thank you for the opportunity to register some of our concerns.
Sincerely,
Norm and Christy Moss
