The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 66 passed bti, the City of Spokane
Valley City Council on the 13th day of May, 2003.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOK.ANE COUIV'TY,
WASHINGTON, REGULATING THE USE AND POSSESSION OF FIREWORKS
WITHIN THE CITY IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH TITLE 3 OF THF
SPOKANE COUNTY CODE AND THE REVISED CODE OF WASHINGTON,
CHAPTER 70.77 TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OR DISCHARGE OF CONSUMER
FIREWORKS WTIHIN THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY.
The introductory paragraphs state that the City desires to prohibit the sale and use of fireworks in
the same manner as prohibited by Spokane Colint
Section 1 provides definitions for the ord;

Section 6 establishes permit fees by City Resolution.
Section 7 allows seizure of fireworks.
Section 8 provides a violation of the ordinance is a misdemeanor.
Section 9 provides for a severability clause.
Section 10 states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of
the Ordinance Summary.
