The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 04-003 passed by the City of Spokane Valle\
City Council on the 201h day of January, 2004.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON,
PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSITION TO THE
QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY FOR
APPROVAL OR REJECTION OF ANNEXATION TO SPOKANE COUNTY
FIRE DISTRICT 1 AND SPOKANE COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 8.
The introductory paragraphs state the City's recommendation to annex to both fire districts and that the
public interest will be served by so annexing.
Sectioa 1: explains the intent of the City to submit the issue for ballot proposition
Section 2: provides for a severability clause
Section 3: states that this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
