Sprague Spokane Valley, WA 99206 (509) 921-1000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 04-031 passed by the City of Spokane Valley City Council on the 27~' day of July, 2004. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 8, SECTION 20.020 PERTAINING TO OPEN CONTAINERS. The introductory paragraphs state that the City desires to amend provisions of the Criminal Code to reflect policy choices, changes in state law, or to correct portions of City code as needed. SecNon 1 states the intent is to bring City Code provisions into conformity with state law requirements relating to possession of open alcohol containers in public places. Section 2 amends Spokane Valley Municipal Code Section 8.20.020. Section 3 establishes a severability clause in the event some portion of the Ordinance is held invalid. Section 4 states that this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the Ordinance Summary.
