The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 05-009 passed by the City of Spokane Valley
City Council on the 8`''day of February, 2005.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE NOISE REGULATIONS UNDER THE MUNICIPAL CODE FOR
THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, TITLE 8, SECTION 25.060 PERTAINING TO
NOISE DISTURBANCES.
ti The introductory paragraphs state that noise regulations are necessary to protect the health, welfare and
safety of the public and the City Council finds it occasionally necessary to amend its laws in the interest
of public safety.
Section 1 states the intent is to declare that having noise regulations are necessary to protect the health,
safety and welfare of the public on private and public property.
Section 2 amends the code provisions on criminal noise regulations, Spokane Valley Municipal Code
8.25.060 to include private rights-of-way as well as public rights-of-way.
Section 3 provides for a severability clause.
Section 4 states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
