NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED
BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL
The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 05-019 passed by the City of Spokane Valley
City Council on the 14 day of June,2005.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF APPROXIMATELY 150
FEET OF 15th AVENUE WEST OF CHRONICLE ROAD AND PROVIDING FOR
OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
The introductory paragraphs state that the City of Spokane Valley held a public hearing before the
Planning Commission, found that the vacation serves the public interest, the section is no longer required
for public use or access;and that 50%of the abutting property owners did not file a written objection.
Section 1: makes certain Findings of Fact
Section 2: vacated the street described in the attached exhibit
Section 3: designated the zoning of the vacated property as that of the adjoining properties as set forth
within the respective property or lot lines.
Section 4: states the conditions of vacation
Section 5: states that following satisfaction of the conditions, a certified copy of the ordinance shall be
recorded at the County Auditor's office.
Section 6: provides for a severability clause.
Section 7: states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
