AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF SHANNON AVENUE EAST OF HOUK STREET AND NORTH OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF SUFFICIENT RIGHT-OF-WAY TO CONSTRUCT A CUL-DE-SAC SUFFICIENT TO SERVE PROPONENT'S DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO. The introductory paragraphs explain the vacation process as per Resolution 05-007, including setting a public hearing before the Planning Commission, for May 26, 2005, at which hearing the Commission found the requirements were met for said vacation. Section l: makes Findings of Fact relative to this vacation. Section 2: vacates the street as described in the ordinance. Section 3: authorizes the Director of Community Development to make the proper zoning designation as that of the adjoining properties within the respective property or lot lines. Section 4: states the conditions of vacation. Section 5: states that the City Clerk shall record a certified copy of the ordinance following satisfaction of the above-stated conditions. Section 6: provides for a severability clause. Section 7: states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the Ordinance Summary.
