The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 05-023 passed by the City of Spokane Valley
City Council on the 26 day of July,2005.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE 5.15
PERTAINING TO PERMIT APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL EVENTS.
The introductory paragraphs explain that it is in the interests of the City of Spokane Valley to allow
community organizations and citizens to sponsor special events; and that Council finds it necessary from
time to time,to amend its laws in the interest of the public's health, safety and welfare.
Section 1: Amends Spokane Valley Municipal Code 5.15 to change the permit-application filing from at
least fifteen days to at least five; and to change the City Manager"shall"require a deposit or bond,to the
City Manager"may"require such deposit or bond.
Section 2: provides for a severability clause.
Section 3: states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
