The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 05-028 passed by the City of Spokane Valley
City Council on the 11th day of October,2005:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE POWERS OF INITIATIVE
AND REFERENDUM FOR THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY.
Section 1: States that the purpose and intent of this Ordinance is to comply with the statement of intent in
Spokane Valley Resolution No. 05-012.
Section 2: Amends Spokane Valley Municipal Code by adding Section 1.12.010 Powers of Initiative and
Referendum.
Section 3: provides for a severability clause.
Section 4: states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
