The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 05-030 passed by the City of Spokane Valley
City Council on the 29th day of November, 2005:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON, CONFIRMING
THE CITY PROPERTY TAX LEVY AT 1% ($95,450) IN EXCESS OF THE 2004 AD
VALOREM PROPERTY TAX LEVY WHICH WAS COLLECTED IN THE CITY 2005 FISCAL
YEAR, PURSUANT TO RCW 84.55.120, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Section 1: states that the purpose of the ordinance is to utilize excess levy capacity of the City that
resulted from the tax levy in 2004 for the 2005 fiscal year
Section 2: states necessary Findings
Section 3: states the 1% increase amount of$95,450
Section 4: states that the City Clerk shall certify a copy of the ordinance to the Board of County
Commissioners and Spokane County Assessor's Office
Section 5: provides for a severability clause.
Section 6: states this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after publication of the
Ordinance Summary.
