The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 07-021 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 23`'day of October 2007:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE
VACATION OF APPROXIMATELY 750 LINEAR FEET OF FIRST AVENUE FROM ABUTTING
PARCEL NUMBERS 45191.0407, 45191.0408, 45191.9113, 45191.9114, 45191.9112, 45191.0502,
45191.0503, 45191.0601 AND 45191.9175; AND APPROXIMATELY 265 FEET OF SIPPLE STREET
FROM ABUTTING PARCEL NUMBERS 45191.9023 AND 45191.9112; AND PROVIDING FOR
OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
The ordinance sets out specific Findings of Fact relative to this street vacation procedure, and states the
Findings of the Planning Commission that determined allowing the street vacation would better serve the
public and that the street was no longer required for public use or access, and describes the area to be
vacated as a portion of Sipple Street and First Avenue between Sprague Avenue and Appleway Boulevard
west of Sargent Street; the ordinance sets out the division of property to be vacated, and states the
designated zoning, which is that designation attached to the adjoining properties. The ordinance also
states the conditions of vacation concerning easements, including vacation requirements from the
Spokane Valley Fire Department.
