The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 07-023 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 7th day of November,2007:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
GRANTING A SEVEN YEAR, NON-EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO WASTE MANAGEMENT OF
WASHINGTON, INC., D/B/A WASTE MANAGEMENT OF SPOKANE, TO PROVIDE GARBAGE
AND REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY
The ordinance grants a non-exclusive seven year franchise to Waste Management of Washington to
provide garbage and refuse collection services on terms and conditions as per the Washington Utilities
and Transportation Commission Certificate G-237 and Tariff No 15 granted to Waste Management,
copies of which are attached to the original ordinance.
