The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 09-006 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 24th day of March, 2009.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ORDINANCE 08-012 WHICH ADOPTED AMENDMENTS TO THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP; AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Ordinance 08-012 to include an amendment to Appendix 19-A,
SVMC as contemplated by the Planning Commission and City Council. The ordinance further states that
the City Council acknowledged that the Commission conducted the appropriate investigation and study
and held a public hearing on the application CPA 10-08 to modify Appendix 19-A SVMC to include
residential single family and duplex structures as permitted uses in the Corridor Mixed Use and Mixed
Use Center zoning districts; and further that the amended Appendix 19-A was inadvertently not included
in Ordinance 08-012. It is further noted in this ordinance that the properties subject to this Ordinance are
all properties within the Spokane Valley corporate limits zoned either Corridor Mixed Use (CMU) or
Mixed Use Center (MUC) on the City's Official Zoning Map. This ordinance amends ordinance 08-012
to include a new section as follows: "Text Amendment. Schedule of Permitted Uses, SVMC is hereby
amended as set forth in Attachment B." Attachment B to Ordinance 09-006 shows the modification of
Appendix 19-A as noted above.
