NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to WAC 197-11-455 and -510 and SVMC 21.20.130(A)(5) that the Draft
Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) is being released for public review and comment for the Painted Hill Planned Residential Development (PRD) project, file numbers PRD-2015-0001, SUB-2015-0001, EGR-2016-0066, and FPD-2016-0007.
Project Name: Painted Hills PRD Initial Notice of Availability Date: July 16, 2021 Notice of Comment Period Extension Date: August 3, 2021 Comment Period Ends: August 31, 2021 – Pursuant to WAC 197-11-455(7) the City has granted a request to extend the 30 day comment period by 15 days. Applicant/Owners: Whipple Consulting Engineers/Black Realty, Inc. and Northwest Renovators Inc. Proposal Description: A planned residential development with 300 single family homes, 280 multifamily units and a neighborhood commercial center. Proposal Location: The project site is the former Painted Hills Golf Course, bound by Dishman-Mica Road, Thorpe Road, and Madison Road. The 99-acre site is further located in the SE1/4 of Section 33, Township 25 North, Range 44 East, Willamette Meridian, Spokane County, Washington
Lead Agency: City of Spokane Valley Availability of DEIS: The DEIS is available for review on the city’s website at www.spokanevalley.org/paintedhillsdeis. The DEIS is available for review in person at Spokane Valley City Hall, 10210 E. Sprague Avenue. Comments: Agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public are invited to comment on the DEIS. If you would like to comment on the DEIS, emailed comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2021. Mailed comments must be postmarked no later than August 31, 2021 to be considered. Written comments may be emailed to LBarlow@spokanevalley.org or mailed to Lori Barlow, City of Spokane Valley, 10210 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99206. Note: A request to extend the comment period was received by the City on July 27, 2021.
