ZE-116-71MINUTES December 3, 1971 ZONE CHANGE ZE- 116 -71 - AGRICULTURAL SUBURBAN TO RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL OR SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL: PLANNING COMMISSION (Highview Acres Addition) Planning Commission Recommendation Zone (R -1). A. Reasons Approve to Single Family Residential The final plat of Highview Acres Addition has been filed incorporating 12 lots ranging in size from 9, 443 square feet (80'x138') to 11, 772 square feet (85'x138.47'). All of the lots except Lot 2, Block 2 conform to the minimum dimensional requirements of the Single Family Residential Zone (R -1) for the establishment of a single family residence. . The Planning Commission is of the opinion that Highview Acres Addition is appropriate for Single Family Residential (R -1) zoning because: 1. The 12 lots in Highview Acres Addition have been designed for single family building sites; i.e., most of the lots have 80 - 85 feet of frontage and 138 feet of depth. 2. The Planning Commission has been upgrading similar residential plats in the Opportunity Community to the Single Family Residential (R -1) classification. 3. The Single Family Residential Zone prohibits duplexes, animal keeping other than household pets, and home occupations. B. General Data 1. Location: 2. Applicant: 3. Site Size: 4. Existing Zoning: 5.
