NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED
BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL
The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 25-014 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 231 day of September 2025: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY,
SPOKANE COUNTY WASHINGTON, AMENDING SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE
5.05.020 PERTAINING TO THE BUSINESS LICENSE OUT -OF -CITY THRESHOLD, AND
OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO. The purpose of this Ordinance 25-014 is to amend chapter
5.05.020 of the Spokane Valley Municipal Code ("SVMC") relating to business license out -of -city
threshold in accordance with state law requirements. Section 1 speaks to the purpose. Section 2 amends
SVMC 5.05.020. Section 3 notes that all other sections are unchanged. Section 4 speaks to severability and
Section 5 provides for an effective date. The full text of Ordinance 25-014 is available at the City of Spokane
Valley City offices as identified above. A copy will be mailed upon request to the City Clerk.
