NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED
BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL
The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 25-019 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 16" day of December 2025: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 22.120.040 AND ADOPTING
HEIGHT RESTICTIONS FOR COMMUNICATION TOWERS USED FOR FIRST RESPONDER
COMMUNICATIONS, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. The purpose of this Ordinance
25-019 is to amend chapter 22.120.040 of the Spokane Valley Municipal Code ("SVMC) and adopt height
restrictions for communication towers used for first responder communications. Section 1 speaks to the
preliminary findings. Section 2 speaks to the findings and conclusions. Section 3 reviews the amended
portion of SVMC 22.120.040 - tower height limitations. Section 4 notes that all other sections are
unchanged. Section 5 speaks to ratification, Section 6 speaks to severability and Section 7 provides for an
effective date. The full text of Ordinance 25-019 is available at the City of Spokane Valley City offices as
