DS.isL'L't.70YR of `cr" - C'.lt?Fto d E. 12915 Ajki Spokane 67, Washington March 28, 1960 Spokane County Planning Commission Spokane, Washington Sirs: The request for a variance relates to the proposed sanctuary of the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, located at E. 10814 Broadway, at the corner of Broadway and Glen Rd., in Opportunity. The solid line represents our present building, 72' x 32 and the dotted line.represents the proposed new building; All of the proposed new structure is within specifications as to boundry lines, etc., with the exception of a proposed new entry way for both buildings. This entry way is on the Glen Rd. side. The request is for three feet (3 for the entry way, which would be 13ft, nine inches up and down the Glen Rd. side. Ah additional 2ft. 3inches is requested for uncovered lamp posts. It will be noted that the existing structure is already in violation of the requirement. This exists because of the deedisi& some years back, of a strip, I believe 25 ft. wide,to help make Glen Rd. possible, When this present structure was erected, Glen Rd. did not exist at this point. In other words the creation of Glen Rpadd here, after the land was deeded to the County, put the building in violation. Since the addition of this entry way is requested by our architect, Mr. G. A. Pehrson, for the best treatment of the existing problem, we re- sepectfully request a variance in regard to it. Since the only neighbor that would be involved to any'great extent would be Broadway School, and since the distance between the two buildings is so great anyway, we do not feel that the spirit of the code would be violated. All dimensions or present and proposed property are indicated on the plat, also positions of same'with respect to.property lines. Since we are now ready to proceed with request for building permits, and actual construction, an early consideration would be appreciated. 7r rs since ely, ley C. urcn of the Nazarene By; J.
