From letters received on inquiry into the use of this property I find: The property was used by Pat Norton as a general contractor's yard and for the manufacture of septic tanks and drain field pipes from 1949 to 1955 while zoned unclassified. In 1955 and until 1965, Appleway Motors used the property to renovate used cars and to prepare new cars for sale. In 1965 Burton Wood purchased the property and used it for storage of construction equipment for a short time. In 1965 Spokane Machinery purchased the property from Mr. Wood and used it for about six months for storage and repair of construction equip- ment. Near the end of 1965, P & T Drilling purchased the property from Spokane Machinery and used the property for a construction yard and office until 1970, when H.E. Schimmels purchased the property and has used it since 1970 as a construction and machinery storage yard. This interpretation will be circulated to property owners within 300 feet of your property. Anyone not in agreement with this determination may appeal my determination within ten (10) days of the date of this letter. Appeal should be made to the Spokane County Zoning Adjustor. P & T Drilling purchased the property in 1965 from Elmer Lindale and used the property for a Construction Yard and Office. H. E. Schimmels purchased the property in 1970 and has used the property to carry on a General Contracting Business and is now using the property for that purpose.
