Adjustment) EA 3 $343.00 ACME agrees that if the City pays an additional $270 to bid item #28, ($90 per each) then they will cover the additional cost to provide full depth frame and grates for all 16 (total) sanitary and storm manhole frames that are located within the PCCP. Total cost= $613.00 Their reasoning is that the isolation joints require a great deal more labor to install compared to the cost of supplying the taller, full depth frames. According to our plans and specs we give them the option to do one or the other. Installing the isolation joints requires more labor but the full depth frames are a much better product in the end.
