Dear Mr. Clark:
The City of Spokane Valley is authorizing a contract addendum to the Beverly Hills
Neighborhood Stormwater Runoff Study contract (CO5 -95). The additional scope of
services is the following:
Surveying Scone Services
1. Perform a topographic survey with right -of -way data of the area of the
intersection of Beverly Drive and Highland Drive.
2. Prepare an in -house topographic base map for design purposes
Civil Engineering Scope Services
1. Coordinate with the City and. Budinger and Associates. Budinger and Associates
is Adams and Clark subcontractor.
2. Revise existing drawings to incorporate the installation of swales and drywells at
the Beverly Drive and Highland Drive intersection
I Incorporate results of geotechnical investigation and include geotechnical
recommendations in design.
4. Revise the existing drainage report
Geotechnical Scone Services
1. Scope of work as outlined in Exhibit G -1 and propose infiiltration rates and
outflow rates for drywells.

Final engineering drawings, drainage report, and specifications are due to the City of Spokane
Valley by September 29th, 2006. The City agrees to pay the Contractor on a time and expense
basis as set forth on the attached fee and cost schedule provided the total sum does not exceed
fourteen thousand, three hundred seventy five dollars.
The terms and conditions for the original contract for this project (C05 -95) are in effect
for this contract addendum.

Exhibit G-I Scope of Work
Geoteehnieal Exploration & Analysis
Descriptions of Projects:
Proposed storm drainage improvements in Beverly Mills neighborhood will include new drywells and
storm sewers (layout provided by engineer).
2. Client requested scope involving subsurface exploration and analysis in:
a. Areas of proposed infiltration to evaluate feasibility for use of dr}�A,ells and;
b. Along routes of proposed sever to evaluate depth to rock and other general conditions for
excavation and backfill thickness.
Description of Tasks:
Log the conditions in up to 2 backhoe test pits and one drilled boring with sampling and testing in areas
of proposed iitfikration; depths of excavations to be on the order of 10 feet; depths of boring to be up to
25 feet if sufficient thickness of soil is present to reach sufficiently deep below a typical two barrel -deep
dryweil;
2. Drill several probe borings along routes of proposed sewer to depths of no more than 8 feet (a few feet
beyond the proposed shallow depth of sewers (5 feet or less);
Note: Boring and test pit locations illustrated in attached Prelhninary Exploration Plan.
3. Conduct laboratory testing of index properties of soils if suitable target layer for infiltration is
encountered:
4. Conduct geotechnical analysis to prepare appropriate geotecluiical recommendations addressing
a. Feasibility of drvwells for infiltration and assessment of potential for impacts down gradient;
b. Anticipated excavation difficulties, suitability of excavated soils for reuse as fill, and fill
placement;
c. Prepare geotechnical report.
