All work; materials, and measurement to be in accordance with the provisions of the
Standard Specifications and Special Provisions for the type of construction involved.
This Contract is revised as follows:
Description of Work
Prior to the start of any construction activities, the Contractor shall be responsible
for researching and/or locating legal survey markers such as GLO monuments or
property corner monuments, conduct boundary surveys sufficient to determine
Contracting Agency right-of-way locations, and obtain, review and analyze deeds
and records as necessary to determine these boundaries. The Contractor shall
provide a completed "Pre Construction Survey Certification", signed and sealed by
a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in the State of Washington before any
construction work shall begin.
The Contracting Agency will provide all existing base maps, existing horizontal and
vertical control, and other material in its possession, with Washington State Plane
Coordinate information to the Contractor. The Contracting Agency will also provide
maps, plan sheets, and/or aerial photographs clearly identifying the limits of the
areas to be surveyed.
Prior to the final payment and release of retainage, the Contractor shall be
responsible for re-establishing any survey markers or monuments disturbed by the
construction activities.
When required, the Contractor shall prepare and file a Record of Survey map in
accordance with RCW 58.09 and provide a recorded copy to the Contracting
Agency. The Contractor shall establish Washington State Plane Coordinates on all
points required in the Record of Survey and other points designated in the Contract
documents.
The Contractor shall provide a completed "Post Construction Survey Certification",
signed and sealed by a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in the State of
Washington.
The Contractor shall perform all of the necessary calculations for the contracted
survey work and shall provide copies of these calculations to the Contracting
Agency. Electronic files of all survey data shall be provided and in a format
acceptable to the Contracting Agency. _

All survey work performed by the Contractor shall conform to all applicable sections
of the Revised Code of Washington and the Washington Administrative Code.
The Contractor shall provide all traffic control, signing, and temporary traffic control
devices in order to provide a safe work zone.
Payment
Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-09.6 for the following bid item
when included in the proposal:
