DKS Associates TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS EXHIBIT Argonne Road Project - Supplement 2 Scope of Work 3/31/11 The purpose of this supplement is to incorporate new design elements that have been identified for the Argonne Road project. These new elements include the following: • New curb ramps for the crosswalk on the west leg of Argonne Road/Montgomery Ave. • Camera maintenance pullout for the camera at Trent. • Reconstruction of planter strip /drainage along strip mall impacted by the right turn pocket. Task 6: Additional CCTV Services Task 6.1: Camera Maintenance Pullout at Trent The 60% submittal resulted in a request to include an 18' wide by 25' long maintenance pullout area for WSDOT to park their bucket truck when accessing the proposed camera at Trent. Alternate camera locations were considered so that a pad would not be necessary, but none were found to be suitable. The pad will be made of 4 "to 6" of crushed rock. A plan sheet will be prepared by the consultant team to show the layout of the pad and the associated re- grading of the area around the pad. Retaining walls around the pad are not assumed. The pad design will be incorporated into the 90% design review package. Task 7: Additional Civil Design Elements Curb ramps for the crosswalk on the west leg of Argonne /Montgomery will be upgraded to current ADA standards. The consultant team will submit an electronic preliminary design of the curb ramps for the City to review prior to the 90% submittal. The final design of these ramps will be included in the 90% design review package. The right turn pocket will displace a drainage strip along the back of sidewalk at the south end of the turn pocket. A separate plan will be necessary to show the layout of the new planter and connection of the planter drainage with the remainder of the strip that will be left intact. Design of this planter strip will be incorporated into the 90% design review package.
