EXECVfIVE SESSION: Mayor Towey called [he meeting to order a[ 5:00 p.m. I[ was then moved by
Deputy Mayor Schtmmels and seconded to adjourn into execWive session for approximafely sixty
mrnutes !o evalua�e [he qvalifications of candidates for appointmen! to e(ective o,�ce [RCW
42.30.!!0(I)(h)J, and that acdon is anticipafed thereaffer during the regular 6:00 p.m. council meefing.
Prior to council exiting [o executive session, Mayor Towey again announced he had recused himself from
[hese proceedings for reasons s[ated previously, and he did not join [he executive session. The vote 6y
acc(amation was unanimous in fwor and Council, minus Mayor Towey, adjoumed in[o Executive
Session a[ 5:02 p.m. At approxima[ely 5:05 p.m. Deputy Mayor Schimmels declared council out of
Executive Sessioa It was moved by Councilmember Gothmann, seconded and unanimous(y agreed ro
adjomn. The meeting adjoumed at 5:05 p.m.
