The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 12-004 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 14th day of February,2012
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 5.10.010 AND REPEALING SECTION 5.20.140 OF THE SPOKANE
VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF LIQUOR AND THE GRACE
PERIOD ALLOWED FOR A PAWNBROKER IN VIOLATION OF TITLE 5 OF THE SPOKANE
VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 of the ordinance sets out the correct citation for the definition of liquor in state law; and Section
2 which provided for a grace period for a pawnbroker in violation of the chapter, is no longer needed
since that grace period was for a three-month period beginning at the effective date of the ordinance,
which was originally passed in 2005.
Ordinance 12-004 is available at the City of Spokane Valley City offices as identified above. A copy will
be mailed upon request to the City Clerk.
