Resolution 06-001 Amending Resolution 05-024; Approving Amended Master Fee Schedule CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY SPOKANE COUNTY,WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 06-001 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AMENDING RESOLUTION 05-024, AND APPROVING AN AMENDED MASTER FEE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, it is the general policy of the City to establish fees that are reflective of the cost of services provided by the City; and WHEREAS, the City uses a resolution to establish fees for City programs, permits and services, and periodically the fee resolution must be updated to incorporate new or modified services; and WHEREAS, Council desires to modify the Resolution and accompanying Fee Schedule. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Spokane Valley, Spokane County, Washington, as follows: Section 1. The changes needed at this time are incorporated into the attached schedules, and include: (1) insertion of a city employee hourly rate of$58 for charges billed to other individuals/organizations; (2) deleting duplicate wording regarding when plan review fees will be collected; and (3) insertion of wording referencing valuation data in the November Building Safety Journal. Section 2. Amendment. Resolution 05-024 is specifically amended as is set forth in the following Amended Fee Schedule. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon adoption. The table below is to be used to determine the building permit fees and plans check fees based on the value of the construction work as stated by the applicant or the value calculated by the Building Official using the latest valuation data available in November of each year in the Building Safety Journal by the International Code Council, whichever value is greatest. Any excess deposit collected during the application process shall be applied to the Building Permit Fee. Plans Review Fees are not refundable once the plan review has been started. Any fee refund request received after 180 days of the date of permit issuance shall be denied. Any refund approved shall be limited to 80% of the total Permit Fee paid.
