The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. I2-023 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 9th day of October, 2012:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, LEVYING THE REGULAR PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE CITY OF
SPOKANE VALLEY, WASHINGTON IN SPOKANE COUNTY FOR THE YEAR
COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2013 TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR CITY SERVICES AS SET
FORTH IN THE CITY BUDGET,AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 sets out that a levy is authorized to be collected in the 2013 tax year, and that the dollar amount
of the increase over the actual levy amount from the previous year shall be $0.00 which is a percentage
increase of 0.0% from the previous year, and that the increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting
from new construction, improvements to property, newly constructed wind turbines, and any increase in
the value of state assessed property. Section 2 requires a copy of this ordinance, along with a complete
copy of the budget once adopted, to be transmitted to the Division of Municipal Corporations in the
Office of the State Auditor, and to the Association of Washington Cities.
