Change Order 1 makes a minor change to the specification at no cost or additional time. The
original hydroseeding specification stated "Seed shall be `Dryland Mix' by Raineer Seeds or
approved equal." This is no longer allowed in specifications for federally funded projects. The
engineer must name at least 3 suppliers with the option for an approved equal or not specify any
supplier.
This change would normally be done by a contract clarification but WSDOT's local programs
office is requiring that a change order be completed.

35 • Apply seeded slurry with a hydraulic seeder at a rate of 7 lbs per 1000 sq ft
36 evenly in two intersecting directions.
37 • Mulch /tackifier to be applied as part of the slurry mix, and shall be applied to a
38 thickness of 1/8 inches. Maintain clear of shrubs and trees.
39 • Apply water with a fine spray immediately after each area has been mulched.
