The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 13-002 passed by the Spokane Valley City
Council on the 9ni day of April, 2013:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.50.060
RELATING TO DRUG TESTING OF EMPLOYEES, AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICALS FOR
PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEES,AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC) relating to pre-
employment physicals of prospective employees, to permit the Human Resources Manager authority to
determine whether a prospective employee should be required to take a pre-employment physical, based
on the safety sensitive nature of the position or the physical requirements of the position's essential
functions.
