The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 18-022 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 23`d day of October 2018:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
LEVYING THE REGULAR PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY,
WASHINGTON FOR THE YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1,2019 TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR
CITY SERVICES AS SET FORTH IN THE CITY BUDGET, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING
THERETO.
Section 1 authorized the levy to be collected in the 2019 tax year in an amount of$0.00 from the previous
year, which is a percentage increase of 0.0% from the previous year; exclusive of additional revenue
resulting from new construction, improvements to property,newly constructed wind turbines, any increase
in the value of state assessed property, and annexations that have occurred, and refunds made. Section 2
states that a complete copy of the budget as adopted, together with a copy of this Ordinance, shall be
transmitted by the City Clerk to the Division of Municipal Corporations in the Office of the State Auditor,
and to the Association of Washington Cities. Section 3 speaks to severability, and Section 4 calls for an
effective date.
