NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED
BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL
The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 19-004 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 28th day of May, 2019:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN;AND PROVIDING FOR
OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 states that the purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the Comprehensive Plan as described in
Comp Plan Amendment(CPA)2019-0002, 0004, 0005, 0006, 0007, 0008, 0009,and 0010;and to deny the
amendments proposed in Comp Plan Amendment 2019-0001 and 0003. Section 2 states that Council
approves the amendments to the Comprehensive Plan map and text with the exception of CPA-2019-0001
and CPA-2019-0003,which are denied; and Council makes General Findings to the proposed amendments
as noted. Section 3 states that the properties subject to this Ordinance are as described in the Ordinance's
Attachment A (2019 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Maps). Section 4 amends the Comprehensive Plan
adopted through Ordinance 16-018, as set forth in Ordinance 19-004's attachment A and as generally
described in the text of Ordinance 19-004. Section 5 states that the Comprehensive Plan (with maps) is
maintained in the office of the City Clerk as well as the City Department of Community and Public Works.
Section 6 addresses liability; Section 7 speaks to severability; and Section 8 provides for an effective date.
